Why People Still Play Old Versions
You would think everyone would just play the newest version and be done with it. But Summertime Saga has one of the most passionate old-version fan bases of any adult game ever made, and there are genuinely good reasons for that. Some players discovered the game at a specific version and feel emotionally attached to it. Others have older phones that simply cannot handle the file size or RAM demands of newer updates. Some players in certain countries deal with slower internet and prefer older versions because they are smaller to download and faster to launch.
Then there are the players who go back to old versions on purpose because specific scenes, dialogue, or character designs looked different in earlier builds. Summertime Saga has gone through significant art revisions and some fans genuinely prefer the earlier art style for certain characters. Debbie in version 0.15 looks different from Debbie in 0.20. Roxxy’s design changed between 0.17 and 0.19. If you love the way a character looked in a specific version, going back to play that version is a completely legitimate choice.
This guide covers all of it. Every major version, what was in it, what Anon’s relationships looked like in each one, and which version you should choose based on your phone and where you live.
The download button at the top of this page links directly to the verified old version APK. It works on Android 5.0 and above. You do not need a Google Play account. You do not need to sign in anywhere. Just tap the button, download, enable installs from unknown sources in your Android settings, and install. The whole process takes about three minutes on a decent connection.
Complete Version History and What Changed
Summertime Saga has been in development since 2016 and went through more than a dozen major version updates before reaching its current state. Each version added new characters, extended existing relationship arcs, improved art quality, added new locations to the Summerville map, and refined the mechanics. Here is every major version explained in plain English so you know exactly what you are getting when you pick one to play.
This is where it all started. Version 0.13 was the first widely shared build of Summertime Saga and it looks very different from anything that came after. The art was rougher, the map was smaller, and only a handful of characters existed in any meaningful way. Anon’s world was limited to the house, the school, and the pizzeria. There was no farm, no church, no gym, no theatre. But the core idea was already there and it was clearly something special even in this early form.
Version 0.15 was the first update that felt like a real leap forward. The art was significantly improved across all existing characters. New areas of Summerville opened up. Diane the farmer was introduced for the first time and brought the Strength stat system with her. The school got more rooms and Principal Smith made her debut. This is the version where many long-time fans say the game first started feeling complete enough to spend real time with.
Version 0.17 added the church, the community pool, and several new neighbourhood characters for the first time. Sister Angelica, Roz, and Aqua all made their debuts here. Mrs. Smith’s route was extended significantly. The gym opened and June became available. This update also introduced the first community theatre scenes with Eve, though her full route was not yet complete. Many players consider 0.17 the perfect sweet spot between content richness and performance on older hardware.
Version 0.18 completely reworked the school section. Ms. Okita got her full science lab route for the first time. Ms. Ross was added with her English classroom storyline. The student characters Missy and Mia were introduced in this update. Becca got her own route extension tied to Roxxy’s arc. The school now felt like a real living social world rather than just a backdrop. Art quality took another jump upward in this version and the music was updated too. This is one of the most beloved old versions in the entire game’s history.
Version 0.19 brought the downtown business district to life. Odette at the art shop, Consuela at the salon, and Josephine connected to the mayoral corruption arc all appeared for the first time. The Russian Mafia storyline got a major extension and Svetlana’s relationship with Anon became far more complex and interesting. The Nurse Diane character was properly integrated into the school. Version 0.19.5 fixed a number of bugs from 0.19 and is the recommended version in this series for players who want stability over cutting-edge content.
Version 0.20 completed the main story arc for the first time. Maria’s full pregnancy storyline, the hospital scene, the Russian Mafia final confrontation, and the game’s proper ending were all implemented here. Version 0.20.16 then refined and polished every single system with bug fixes, art improvements, audio updates, and additional Cookie Jar entries for several characters whose routes felt slightly unfinished in 0.20. This is the most complete version of the game and the one recommended for anyone who wants to experience everything Summertime Saga has to offer in one playthrough.
Anon and Debbie Across All Versions
Debbie is one of the original characters and she has been in Summertime Saga since version 0.13. But the Debbie you meet in 0.13 is a very different experience from the fully realized Debbie of 0.20.16. Her character went through multiple art revisions, her dialogue was rewritten several times, and her route gained new scenes and Cookie Jar entries in almost every major update. Understanding what was available in each version helps you choose the right build to play and understand why longtime fans are so attached to specific updates.
Debbie Version by Version: What Changed and When
Her route grew from a handful of scenes into one of the richest arcs in the entire game
Debbie in v0.13 and v0.15: The Early Stages
In the earliest versions, Debbie was present but her route was very short. You could have a few kitchen conversations with her, the early towel scene was present in 0.15, and her bedroom had basic interactions. The art style for Debbie in these versions was noticeably rougher and her character model looked quite different from later versions. She was warm and maternal but the emotional depth of her later arc simply did not exist yet. Players who remember discovering the towel scene for the first time in 0.15 often describe it as one of the most genuinely surprising moments they had ever experienced in a game.
v0.15 First: The Famous Towel Scene AppearsDebbie in v0.17 and v0.18: The Route Deepens
Version 0.17 extended Debbie’s route significantly with new evening scenes in the living room and kitchen. Her character was given more dialogue about her loneliness following Anon’s father’s death. Version 0.18 added the bedroom scenes and gave her a proper multi-stage arc for the first time. Her art was also fully revised in 0.18, giving her the character design that most players now associate with her. The 0.18 version of Debbie is what many fans consider the classic definitive Debbie.
Debbie in v0.19 and v0.20.16: The Complete Arc
Version 0.19 added the final stages of Debbie’s route including the conclusion scenes that give her arc a proper emotional ending rather than just stopping. Version 0.20.16 then polished all her scenes with improved art, refined dialogue, and additional Cookie Jar entries that flesh out moments between her major story beats. The 0.20.16 version of Debbie has the most Cookie Jar entries of any version and the most fully realized character arc. If you want everything Debbie has to offer, 0.20.16 is the only version you need.
Anon and Jenny Across All Versions
Jenny has been in the game since the beginning and her arc grew enormously across version updates. The early Jenny was dismissive and one-dimensional in the way that you might expect from an early build character. By 0.20.16 she is one of the most layered and entertaining characters in the entire game. The Dexter sub-plot, the school social dynamics, and her eventual character transformation all came in stages across multiple updates.
Jenny Version by Version: From Eye Rolls to Full Arc
She started as the sarcastic stepsister gag and ended up as one of the best-written characters in the game
Jenny in v0.13 to v0.15: Basically Just Annoyed at Anon
In the earliest versions, Jenny existed mostly to give Anon someone to fail to impress. The bathroom peephole scene was present in 0.15 and was immediately one of the most popular moments in the game. But beyond that, her route did not go anywhere meaningful. She was in her room, she was at school, and she did not like Anon much. That was about the extent of it. Fun early content but very limited by today’s standards.
v0.15 First: The Bathroom Peephole SceneJenny in v0.17 and v0.18: The Dexter Sub-Plot Arrives
Version 0.17 introduced Dexter as a proper character and gave Jenny’s arc a real social dimension for the first time. Her relationship with Dexter and how that creates complications for her developing closeness with Anon added genuine dramatic tension. Version 0.18 extended the school scenes significantly and gave Jenny more moments at school that revealed the gap between her public social performance and who she actually is. Her character model was also revised in 0.18 and her new design is what most players picture when they think of Jenny.
Jenny in v0.19 and v0.20.16: The Full Story
The complete Jenny arc with all its bedroom scenes, school gym moments, and the final character revelation was finished across 0.19 and 0.20.16. The version 0.20.16 Jenny is the complete package. She has genuine character development, a satisfying arc conclusion, and easily the funniest dialogue of any character in the home section of the game. If you started playing in an older version and never saw Jenny’s full arc play out, going to 0.20.16 will genuinely surprise you with how far her character came from those early dismissive conversations.
Anon and Maria Across All Versions
Maria’s story is tied directly to the main story arc, which means her availability and depth changed dramatically between version updates. Early versions had the pizza training scene and some early kitchen interactions but the real emotional heart of her storyline, the storage room scene, the pregnancy, and the hospital, did not arrive until much later. Here is exactly when each major Maria moment became available.
Maria in v0.13 to v0.15
Pizzeria OnlyMaria existed in the pizzeria from the very first version but her role was limited to background character and cook. The Italian pizza training scene where Anon learns to make authentic pizza by hand was one of the earliest pieces of content and it was already charming in these early builds. But the deeper story content with Tony’s request and the pregnancy arc was completely absent. She was lovely to interact with but her story had not started yet.
Maria in v0.17 to v0.18
Extended Kitchen ArcVersions 0.17 and 0.18 added more kitchen scenes and deepened the personal relationship between Anon and Maria. Tony’s request was introduced as a story beat in 0.17, making this the first version where the pregnancy storyline began to be hinted at. The storage room scene arrived in 0.18 for the first time and it was immediately one of the most talked-about moments in the entire game. Many players were completely blindsided by where that scene went.
Maria in v0.19
Pregnancy Arc BeginsVersion 0.19 continued the pregnancy arc and added scenes showing Maria’s condition progressing over the weeks following the storage room. These scenes were emotionally well-handled and gave the relationship between Anon and Maria a completely different texture now that the consequence of their encounter was visible and real. Tony’s reactions and the ongoing mafia storyline were woven through Maria’s pregnancy scenes in ways that made the main story feel genuinely cohesive.
Maria in v0.20.16
Complete Arc with HospitalThe hospital birth scene, the final main story resolution, and the emotional conclusion of everything Anon and Maria built together were all completed in version 0.20.16. This is the only version where you can experience Maria’s full story from first pizza lesson to final hospital room moment. It is one of the most emotionally satisfying arcs in any adult game and the hospital scene in particular is genuinely moving in a way that catches most players completely off guard.
If you are playing any version below 0.20, Maria’s story ends without the hospital. You get the storage room scene and the pregnancy content but the birth and the emotional resolution of the main storyline are simply not there. This is the single biggest reason most players recommend going to at least 0.20 if you want a complete experience of the main story. The hospital scene is worth it.
School Characters Version by Version
The school section of Summertime Saga expanded dramatically between versions. The early game had Ms. Dewitt and Principal Smith in basic forms. The full science lab, the English classroom, the nurse’s office, and the complete teacher routes were all added gradually. Here is a clear breakdown of which school character was fully available in each version so you know exactly what the school experience looks like depending on which version you are playing.
School Characters: When They Arrived and What Each Version Offered
The school went from two basic teachers to a full social world across just four major updates
Ms. Dewitt: Present from v0.13, Completed in v0.18
Ms. Dewitt has been in the art classroom since version 0.13 but her early appearance was minimal. Version 0.15 gave her more art room content. Version 0.17 added the school art exhibition storyline. Version 0.18 completed her full route with all her key scenes, Cookie Jar entries, and the satisfying conclusion that ties her story to Odette at the art shop. The complete Ms. Dewitt experience requires v0.18 or later.
Full Route: v0.18 and aboveMs. Okita: Introduced in v0.17, Full Route in v0.18
Ms. Okita appeared briefly in version 0.17 but her science lab route was minimal. Version 0.18 gave her the complete Intelligence-gated storyline that fans love so much. The lab scenes, the professional-to-personal development arc, and her distinctive character personality were all properly realized for the first time in 0.18. If you want the full Ms. Okita experience you need at least v0.18.
Full Route: v0.18 and above, Intelligence 4 RequiredMs. Ross: First Full Route in v0.18
Ms. Ross did not exist at all before version 0.18. She was a completely new addition in that update and her English classroom storyline was fully formed from her first appearance. She has been consistent across 0.18, 0.19, and 0.20.16 with minor art updates and dialogue refinements along the way but the core of her route was complete from day one in 0.18.
Available From: v0.18Principal Smith: Present from v0.15, Full Route in v0.17
Principal Smith appeared in version 0.15 in her basic authoritative role. Version 0.17 gave her the full office route including the after-school scenes that reveal her very different private personality. Her complete route is available in any version from 0.17 onwards. She is one of the few characters whose route was largely complete before the 0.18 school overhaul.
Full Route: v0.17 and aboveNurse Diane: Properly Integrated in v0.19
Nurse Diane was present in earlier versions but her infirmary route was inconsistent and incomplete before version 0.19 properly integrated her into the school’s overall structure. Version 0.19 gave her a coherent storyline with clear progression steps. She is available from 0.19 onwards with her full route intact. The distinction between her and Diane the farmer confuses new players but they are entirely separate characters with separate stories.
Full Route: v0.19 and aboveNeighbourhood Characters Version by Version
The neighbourhood around Anon’s house started as just a few interactable buildings and grew into a fully populated community with its own social dynamics. Diane the farmer, Mrs. Smith across the street, Agnes down the road, and eventually the church and gym characters all filled in over successive updates. Here is when each neighbourhood character became properly available and what their routes looked like in each version.
Diane the Farmer
From v0.15Diane arrived in v0.15 as one of the biggest additions to that update. Her Strength stat requirement and farm chore system were innovative for their time. Her full route with all Cookie Jar entries was completed in v0.18. Players on v0.15 can enjoy the early farm content and stat building but her complete arc only arrives in 0.18 and above.
Mrs. Smith
From v0.15Mrs. Smith was also introduced in v0.15 and her lawn and pool scenes were among the most popular additions in that update. Her full route including all pool scenes and Cookie Jar entries was complete by v0.17. She is one of the earlier characters to have a fully realized route and her content has been consistent and stable across all versions from 0.17 onwards.
Agnes
From v0.17Agnes first appeared in v0.17 as a gentle neighbourhood background character. Her full arc was a long time coming and was not properly completed until v0.20.16. If you play v0.17 or v0.18, Agnes is present but her route ends earlier than it does in the latest versions. Her complete story requires v0.20.16 for the most satisfying experience.
Sister Angelica and Roz
From v0.17The church opened and both Sister Angelica and Roz made their debut in v0.17. Their routes were in reasonably complete states from the beginning and have received mostly refinements rather than major additions in later versions. Both are available in full from v0.17 onwards. The day-restriction on church visits was also introduced in 0.17.
June at the Gym
From v0.17June arrived with the gym in v0.17 and her route has been one of the most consistent in the game. What you see in 0.17 is essentially what you get in 0.20.16 with the exception of some art quality improvements and a few additional dialogue scenes in the later versions. She is a reliable presence from 0.17 onwards.
Eve at the Theatre
From v0.17, Complete in v0.20Eve appeared in v0.17 with partial content but her full theatre production arc was not complete until v0.20. Players on 0.17 or 0.18 get the opening of her route and some memorable scenes but the complete conclusion and all her Cookie Jar entries require v0.20 or v0.20.16.
Student Characters Version by Version
The high school student characters had a complicated journey through version updates. Roxxy was in from the beginning but her deeper arc took a long time to arrive. Missy and Mia did not exist until version 0.18. Becca’s independent route was built up over several updates. Here is a clear picture of when each student character reached their complete form.
Student Character Route History: Who Was There and When
The school social world built up across five major updates before it felt truly complete
Roxxy: From v0.13, Full Arc in v0.19
Roxxy has been dismissing Anon since version 0.13 and that much at least has been consistent. Her early appearances gave her personality without giving her a proper route. Version 0.17 added the Charisma requirement and opened up more school social scenes. Version 0.18 extended her arc into the deeper character exploration that makes her so memorable. Version 0.19 completed her full route with all Cookie Jar entries and the revelation scenes that reframe her character from the very beginning of the game.
Full Route: v0.19 and aboveMissy: Introduced in v0.18, Fully Complete from v0.18
Missy is one of the few characters whose route arrived essentially complete from her first appearance. Version 0.18 introduced her in the music room with a fully formed storyline that requires no later version to complete. She has received minor art and dialogue updates in 0.19 and 0.20.16 but her core route and all her Cookie Jar entries were available from day one in 0.18. She is genuinely one of the most complete early additions in terms of route quality.
Becca: Present from v0.15, Independent Route in v0.18
Becca existed as part of Roxxy’s social group from v0.15 but had no independent route until version 0.18. The Roxxy route dependency was formalized in 0.18 along with her own photography-focused scenes. Her complete arc with all entries was finalized in 0.19. Playing 0.15 or 0.17 gives you Becca as a supporting character in Roxxy’s scenes but not as an independent route with her own story.
Independent Route: v0.18, Completed v0.19Mia: Introduced in v0.18, Complete from v0.18
Like Missy, Mia arrived in 0.18 with a complete route. Her library and quiet school scenes were fully formed from the start and have only received cosmetic improvements in later versions. She is available in full from v0.18 onwards. Her patient character and slowly developing relationship with Anon is exactly the same in 0.18 as in 0.20.16, which makes her one of the most version-stable characters in the entire game.
Full Route: v0.18 and aboveWhich Version Suits Your Device
Not every phone can handle every version of Summertime Saga equally well. The game has grown significantly in file size and RAM requirements with each major update. Newer versions have higher-quality art assets, more audio, more video sequences, and larger map environments that all demand more from your device. Choosing the right version for your hardware means a smooth, enjoyable experience instead of lag, crashes, and frustration. Here is exactly which version to pick based on your device type.
Device Compatibility: Pick Your Version Based on Your Phone
Five clear device profiles so you know exactly which version to download without guessing
Budget Android Phones with 1 to 2 GB RAM
If your phone has 1 to 2 GB of RAM, you want version 0.17 or earlier. Version 0.18 and above start introducing heavier art assets and larger audio files that cause noticeable slowdowns on phones in this category. Version 0.15 runs beautifully on almost any Android device made in the last eight years. Version 0.17 is slightly heavier but still very manageable on a 2 GB phone if you close background apps before launching. Version 0.19 and above will likely have loading pauses and potential crashes on 1 to 2 GB devices.
Recommended Version: v0.17Mid-Range Android Phones with 3 to 4 GB RAM
3 to 4 GB RAM is the sweet spot for Summertime Saga. You can comfortably run version 0.19.5 on a phone in this range with smooth performance and no meaningful loading delays. Version 0.20.16 is also playable on 4 GB RAM but may have occasional brief pauses during scene transitions on phones with slower processors. Version 0.18 is the safest recommendation for 3 GB phones if you want stability. Version 0.19.5 is the recommendation for 4 GB phones if you want maximum old-version content.
Recommended Version: v0.19.5 for 4GB, v0.18 for 3GBHigher-End Android Phones with 6 GB RAM and Above
Any phone with 6 GB RAM or more can run version 0.20.16 without any issues. Modern mid-range phones from Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, and other major brands with 6 to 8 GB RAM handle the game flawlessly. If you have a phone in this category there is no reason to go to an older version for performance reasons. The only reason to choose an older version on a high-spec phone is preference for a specific older art style or character design, which is a completely valid reason.
PC and Windows Players
If you are playing Summertime Saga on Windows PC through the official PC version or an Android emulator like LDPlayer or BlueStacks, performance is almost never a limiting factor. Even a basic laptop from 2018 can run v0.20.16 smoothly. The main consideration for PC players choosing an old version is almost always about preference for a specific version’s content or art style rather than hardware limitations. LDPlayer 9 with 4 GB allocated RAM runs v0.20.16 at full speed on a computer with 8 GB total RAM.
iOS and iPhone Players
Summertime Saga does not have an official iOS App Store version due to platform content policies. iPhone players need to use a sideloading method such as AltStore or a similar tool to install the IPA version of the game. The IPA version works on iPhone 7 and above running iOS 12 or later. Older versions of the game are more reliably sideloaded than newer ones because they have smaller file sizes and fewer iOS compatibility issues. Version 0.19.5 is the recommended choice for iPhone users using sideloading tools.
iOS: v0.19.5 via AltStore is Most ReliableWhich Version Suits Your Region
Where you live affects your Summertime Saga experience in two ways. First, download speed and file size matter if you are in a region with slower or more expensive mobile data. Older versions have smaller file sizes so downloading them uses less data and takes less time. Second, some early versions had external asset loading that performed poorly in regions far from North American servers, causing slow loading times for certain scenes. Here is exactly which version works best depending on where you are in the world.
North America and Europe
Players in North America and Western Europe have the easiest time with any version. Fast internet speeds, low latency to game servers, and reliable connections mean v0.20.16 downloads quickly and runs without any region-based issues. There are no geo-restrictions on content in this region. Any version from v0.13 to v0.20.16 works perfectly here. Just pick based on your device and your content preferences and you will be fine.
Southeast Asia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh
Players in Southeast Asia and South Asia have historically had the most questions about version compatibility. Version 0.20.16 works perfectly in all these regions with no geo-restrictions. Version 0.17 and 0.18 had some external asset loading that caused slow scene transitions for players with higher-latency connections in this region. Version 0.19.5 addressed those issues and is much smoother for players on mobile data in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. For players with reliable WiFi, v0.20.16 is ideal. For players primarily on mobile data, v0.19.5 is the safer choice.
Africa and Middle East
Players in Africa and the Middle East generally have good results with v0.19.5. The file size of this version is manageable on metered data connections and the game runs well on the mid-range Android phones that are most popular across these regions. Version 0.20.16 is also available without any geo-restrictions but its larger file size makes the initial download more expensive on pay-per-MB data plans. If data cost is a concern, v0.17 or v0.18 are even lighter options that still offer excellent content.
Latin America and South America
Latin American and South American players generally have smooth experiences with v0.19.5 and v0.20.16. Internet speeds vary significantly across the region but both these versions were designed to handle variable connection quality gracefully. Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico all have strong Summertime Saga player communities and both v0.19.5 and v0.20.16 are widely tested and confirmed working without issues in these countries. Choose based on your device RAM rather than your location for best results in this region.
East Asia: China, Japan, South Korea
Players in China may need a VPN to download the APK depending on current network filtering in their region. The game itself has no built-in geo-restrictions but some download servers are blocked in China. Japan and South Korea have no download issues at all and v0.20.16 runs perfectly without any additional setup. For Chinese players, downloading v0.19.5 or v0.20.16 while connected to a VPN and then playing the game offline requires no ongoing VPN connection and gives full access to all content.
Slow Mobile Data: Any Region
If your main constraint is slow mobile data rather than a specific geographic location, version 0.17 and 0.18 are the best choices regardless of where you live. Both versions have significantly smaller download sizes than 0.19 and above, making them practical to download even on a slow or limited connection. Version 0.17 is around 500MB. Version 0.18 is around 700MB. Version 0.20.16 is over 1GB. On a slow connection the difference in download time between 0.17 and 0.20.16 can be enormous.
Summertime Saga does not block content based on your country or region. Every scene, every character relationship, and every Cookie Jar entry is available to every player in every country in every version. The only reason to consider your location when choosing a version is download speed and mobile data cost, both of which are practical considerations rather than content restrictions. You will not miss out on any relationship content just because of where you live.

How to Install the Old Version APK
Installing a Summertime Saga old version APK on Android is a simple process that takes about three minutes once you have the file downloaded. The only thing you need to do before installing is allow your phone to install apps from outside the Google Play Store, which takes about ten seconds to set up. Here is the complete step-by-step guide for every type of Android device.
Tap above to download. Then follow the steps below to install.
Step by Step APK Installation Guide for Android
Works on Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, OnePlus, and all major Android brands
Download the APK File
Tap the Download button on this page. The APK file will download to your phone’s Downloads folder. The file size varies by version but expect between 300MB and 1.2GB depending on which version you are downloading. Wait for the download to complete fully before moving to the next step. Do not open the file until the download bar shows 100 percent complete.
Allow Installs from Unknown Sources
Go to your phone Settings, then Security or Privacy, and look for the option that says Install Unknown Apps or Allow Installs from Unknown Sources. On newer Android versions you may need to go into Settings, then Apps, find your browser app, and enable the Allow from This Source toggle for your browser specifically. This takes about ten seconds and only needs to be done once. It does not make your phone less secure as long as you only install from trusted sources.
This setting may be in a different location on some phone brandsOpen the Downloaded APK File
Open your phone’s file manager and navigate to the Downloads folder. Tap the Summertime Saga APK file. Your phone will show an installation confirmation screen with the app name and the permissions it requests. These permissions are standard for a game of this type and include storage access so the game can save your progress.
Tap Install and Wait
Tap the Install button on the confirmation screen. The installation process takes between 30 seconds and two minutes depending on your phone’s speed. Do not tap anything else or switch apps during this process. When installation is complete you will see an Open button. Tap Open to launch the game immediately or find the Summertime Saga icon on your home screen or app drawer.
First Launch and Initial Loading
The first time you launch Summertime Saga it will take longer than normal to open because it is loading and organizing its assets for the first time. This initial loading can take 60 to 90 seconds on some phones. This is completely normal and only happens once. Every subsequent launch will be much faster. Do not force-close the game during this first loading screen or you may need to reinstall.
Save your game frequently using multiple save slots. Old version APKs can occasionally have save data quirks. Having three or four separate save slots means you never lose more than a few minutes of progress if something goes wrong.
Charge your phone before playing long sessions. Summertime Saga is graphically active and runs the processor harder than most simple mobile games. A full battery at the start of a session means no interruptions during important story scenes.
Play on WiFi if possible during your first session. The initial asset loading on first launch is easier on a WiFi connection than on mobile data. After that first load the game runs entirely offline with no internet connection required at all.
Back up your save folder before installing a different version of the game. Save data is stored in a folder on your internal storage. Copying that folder to a safe location before installing a new version means you can always go back to your old save if the new version does not load it correctly.
